the dangers of the the titanic where very high, and they did get a message to them(before the ship hit an iceberg) that there was a big chance that they would smash into one, the crew of the ship ignored the message and carried on. when they where sinking, they sent out a special Morse Code message to another nearby boat and they now got ignored. although, another boat found out and went to help them, but, unfortuntely, it was too late. that's all i know
There were nowhere near the safety regulations in 1912 as there are today. Many laborers used power tools unprotected, especially for noise. The constant use of hand tools and power tools made many a worker deaf-or-close-to-it.
