Dundee became wealthy primarily through its booming jute industry in the 19th century, which was heavily reliant on raw jute imported from India, particularly from the Bengal region. The city developed into a major center for jute processing, leading to significant economic growth. Additionally, the establishment of trade relationships and the expansion of the textile industry in Dundee further contributed to its prosperity, creating a cycle of wealth that benefited both the city and its Indian suppliers.

I'm not sure if you can get enough information to be able to make a project on it, but there's Dundee Law, which originally was a volcano... long extinct. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law,_Dundee Or else the obvious thing is material... Dundee used to be famous for wool; and then for jute, which is used to make linen. Or you could go with famous people from Dundee (which is really only Charles Lyell that I can think of... he was a geologist - also interested in volcanoes.. maybe you could make a connection, although he wrote about Mt Etna in Italy). You could try weaving Dundee was famous for it, Ship building, Scott of the Antarctic's boat, the Discovery was built at Dundee, or even a project about Dundee's regiment The Black Watch I have put a link at the bottom of the page to get you started.
