How did her friends find Courtney's body in Pretty Little Liars?

in the first book when "Ali's" body was uncovered it was actually Courtneys body. Maya's family was digging up the half-finished gazebo in their backyard (which used to be Alis backyard) to put in a tennis court and they found the body under the cement.

Ali killed Courtney because she read Courtney's diary which held the girls and their secrets and that is how A knows everything about the girls and is able to send threatening texts.
