Each person responded in thier own way. People were scared and more aware of the surroundings around them, in the way of if another one happens can I get hurt where I am right now. People also pulled together, meet thier neighbours and helped out people they have never meet before. Some people left town and said they will never come back and some stuck it out ready to rebuild the city. Fifteen months later and I still have moments when I hear or feel things that remind me of aftershocks and I freeze in my tracks.Overall it was good to see that in times of need people are there for each other.
