it helped us to learn not to travel near icebergs as millions of people will die and the ones that survive become heros, just because they know how to swim.
In 1912, Titanic was built to the tune of $7.5M US.
The Titanic cost around $1.8 billion to make. The approximate total construction cost for building the Titanic was $7.5 million, about $123 million in today's money. The original cost was $7.5 million.... which is around $300 million in today's money !Titanic was built in 1912 for what was 7.5 million US Dollars at the time.
Because, in effect, it is pointless. Today's luxury cruise ships have everything the Titanic did and more, are much, much safer and better constructed, must meet higher standards, etc. There is no real reason to build a "second Titanic". ---- They did make a second Titanic and a third, the Olympic and the Britannic. These sister ships were nearly identical in every way to the Titanic. The use of the name Titanic has probably not been reissued to another ship is probably to do with superstition or respect for the relatives of the largest loss of life on a passenger ship. ----
No they don't need to today all ships have to have lifeboat capacity for all passengers aboard.
Today the Titanic wreckage is in on the bottom of the north Atlantic ocean.
Since the design for the Titanic is outdated for today's standards they won't make one like her, but the cruise ships today better than the Titanic.
Back then, it was. There are dozens of ships today that are much larger than Titanic
It would cost approximately $500 million to build a replica Titanic in 2016.
The simple answer is "no". One cannot replicate Titanic today because she would not pass modern safety codes.
In 1912, Titanic was built to the tune of $7.5M US.
In 1912, Titanic was built for $7.5M which would be about $400M today.
In 1912, Titanic was built to the tune of $7.5M US. There is a Titanic hotel being built in China (as of 2017) but there is no propulsion so it's not quite the same thing.

Well actually it costed $200 million dollars and $123 dollars in today's dollars to build the ship.
If they do, it's suppose to be built in 2012 for remembrance day. You never know, but it seems unlikely. It's doubtful that the incentive (demand) exists, unless it would be for the plush, which would make it really expensive. There are plenty of cruise ships today that are already bigger than the Titanic ever was, and plush enough.

No. The German liner Imperator was launched 5 weeks after the Titanic's sinking. Imperator was about 30 feet longer than Titanic. Today, the largest ships in the world are probably the big container ships and oil tankers. Queen Mary II I think is the biggest passenger ship at 150,000 tons. She is much larger than the Titanic.nope
