The best way to find auditions and open calls for movies and tv shows is through the app, Actor Genie. It was developed by Heidi Levitt, who is a very well known casting director (just Google her and she'll come up EVERYWHERE). This app also gives contact information for many different agents or managers, as well as do's and dont's of the audition room. Any actor who wants to be successful should download this app!! Or you can visit their website (actorgenie.com) or look them up on twitter. Its probably the most reliable way to find casting calls.

Most actors, even the biggest names, still do it the old fashioned way - by auditioning. They usually either wait on line at a casting call, or they submit video tapes of themselves reading some lines. Also, a lot of scripts are written with certain actors in mind, so they automatically get the role. And then there are times with the directors hand-pick the actor/actress.

well sometimes u have to go to a place to try out for acting and then sometimes producers r there and if they think ur good they can hire u or if they're not there sometimes the places u try out at give information about u to them if they need an actor/actress

if you are not famous....you need to go to acting school...then a specail dicector comes and watches a play that you do and they see if they like it if they do like it...then you might have a chance to be in a movie!!

There are many ways.

1: Get an agent and he/she will find auditions that will fit you. (in order to get an agent you have to get head shots done)

2: If you want to be in a local movie (like for film festival or something) you could hang up flyers at collages and places like that.

3: Go to a mall. That might sound strange but most malls have talent scouts. You can look into that online :)
