How do you a new clip to your movie on imovie?

Note: Getting the music video onto your hard drive is not shown in these steps and is assumed you already have it on your hard drive.

First, make a copy of the music video file on your hard drive so you have the original and the one you are going to use to edit.

Second, open up iMovie, and then just drag the extra copy of the file into the editing area in iMovie.

Third, you can split sections of clips apart by using the keyboard shortcut (Command/Apple key + T) or by going to Edit > Split section at playhead.

Finally, delete the clips you want and keep the clips in that you wish, and then save the file.

If you wish to keep the full audio but not the full video, click on the clips, go to Advanced > Separate audio (it may be different wording).

Heres the deal: You have to have imovie on your computer, and if you do, click on the application sign. Then, you have to upload videos from a camera or pictures from a camera. After that, go to the computer menu at the top of the computer and press "file" and look for "import". Keep in mind you have to be on the imovie application and have a camera connected. Once you see the pics/videos, you drag them to where you want them. If you want a movie title, go to the button that's has a T on it for title. When you make your title, drag it to where you want it. Same thing for audio (speaker sign), and transitions (rectangle thing). When your finished, you can save on the computer or you can burn it on a disc. Insert a blank DVR CD and it will give you some options. Pick "burn DVD". OK? Your are set! Your welcome.
