no, thunder gives him health. If it is Final Fantasy XIII-2 then here's what you do:

pargiam shifts: med, sen, com sarah, level 99 med, Noel, level 99 sen, and Behemoth around level 30+

med, com, com sarah level 99 med, Noel level 99 com, Behemoth around level 30+

the battle should take about 35 minutes or so. I would recomend just staying on the first paragiam I said, the entire time. the behemoth alone should kill him. While Sarah heals Noel and the Behemoth.....and occasionally her self, the Behemoth should kill Odin. Also, take into battle with you about 50+ potions. You'll need them occasionally.
