How do you catch Heatran without a master ball?

There is only one Heatran in the game that can be found in Stark Mt. After going through Stark Mountain for the first time revisit the survival area and go talk to Buck. Then leave to Stark Mt. making sure you have Pokemon with rock smash and strength. Heatran is then found in the top of the mountain.

yes that's were you find it but if your reading this before you catch diagla or the 3 other Pokemon DONT WASTE your master ball cos there are three other legendarys that u have to catch like regiregias its a mix between the three rias so keeep ur master ball

I have Pokemon pearl and have caught Heatran without the aid of a master ball. If you do not have any level "Onehundreds" then you should catch Giratina first, so you have a powerful enough Pokemon to intimidate Heatran. Without being able to intimidate a powerful Pokemon, you won't be able to catch him. good luck! :)

p.s. don't use ground moves on Heatran, you'll slaughter him.

First, use a Pokémon with high speed that can use a move that will prevent it from fleeing (Block, Mean Look, or Spider Web; alternatively, Bind, Clamp, Fire Spin, Magma Storm, Sand Tomb, Whirlpool, or Wrap) or else a Pokémon with the Shadow Tag ability (Wobbuffet or Wynaut). After that, catch it as you would any other Pokémon: whittle down its health and throw balls.

Alternatively, Quick Balls have a high chance if thrown immediately upon encountering the Pokémon.

take its hp down to its lowest and use ultra balls
