OK I'm going to improve the answer to this question because the guy before me wants to be an a#$ about it. I don't think you can catch Pokemon from Johto in Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, but I do know they are coming out with a remake of Pokemon Silver, Gold, and Crystal. It is for the DS so you will have to trade between someone with a Silver, Gold, or Crystal version to your Diamond and Pearl game.

You can catch Articuno Zapdos and Moltres in Diamond Pearl and Platinum after you get the national dex and talk to Professor Oak in Pal Park. They'll be on the poketch map. As for Mew and Mewtwo well...Mewtwo you can catch in FireRed or LeafGreen after you beat the Elight Four see 60 some Pokemon and get the ruby and the Sapphire from the 2 islands (forgot the name of them) then go into the cave in which the guy was blocking and Mewtwo will be in there. Then just migrate it to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. I don't know how you can catch Mew however without either cheating or going to an event.

You don't. You can't catch any of the legendary birds or dogs in diamond or pearl. You have to catch them in a gameboy game and then migrate them into your diamond game. I know the dogs are in Pokemon leaf green and fire red. You can only catch one of them per save file. If you chose Bulbasaur as your starter Pokemon you will only be able to catch Entei. If you chose Squirtle you will only be able to catch Raiku. If you chose Charamander you will only be able to catch suicune. I got a friend to trade me suicune and articuno. Im working on moltres, zapdos and entei now. You can catch all the birds in one save file though. Zapdos is in a power plant and I'm not sure about the other two. Hope this helps! -autumnwolf
