How do you catch the roaming legendary Pokemon on Pokemon Platinum?

This is a very big problem for A LOT of people but no worries! I got a good idea. Okay lets say you got Pokemon Platinum and Mesprit is your 1st one to get catched. Take some time to look at where it appears whenever you turn off your DS. I don't know if its gonna be like this for platinum but in soul silver they change routes,cities,etc... every time you reset your DS. When you see a spot it will appear sometimes or a lot go there and save your game there. MAKE SURE you have a Pokemon that knows a move to make the other sleep and a move to block it from escaping. Recommended Moves and Pokemon- Gengar- Hypnosis and Mean Look + Block. Then reset your DS until it appears to your route,city, etc... and when it does show up go catch it. GET A LOT of Pokeballs cause the battle will be tough! Good Luck hope this helped.
Trapping the Pokemon isn't the only way to do it, it just makes the battle more like a normal legendary battle. I find it easier to exploit the fact that it escapes because roaming Pokemon carry their HP and status to the next encounter. This means that so long as you are faster than the legendary (or get lucky with a quick claw) you get a free hit and they don't fight back. Sure you have to find them all over again but it's not that bad, since if they leave the battle asleep with 1HP you still find them asleep with 1 HP (and because they never attack they can never wake up).
Then you just need some quick balls. Quick balls have a x4 catch rate, that's as good as a timer ball after 40 turns and twice as good as an ultra ball but it only works on the first turn.Using this method every turn is the first turn.

The only way to get Zapdos is Pal Park or Cheating-Device or a newer option is if you or someone you know has Pokemon Platinum Version then you can catch it in there. It is roaming around Sinnoh so in order to get you are going to have to catch it. An easy way to catch a legendary that is roaming is use a Max Repel when you are in same area as it because it is one of the only Pokemon you will see. Hope I helped!!!
