Open the trunk lid and pull the upholstery from the rear of the trunk. You will find white and black plastic wing nuts. Remove the white ones on the side you are working on and swing the lens assembly up. If you don't like standing on your head to work on the lights, remove all of the white and black wing nuts and pull the tail light assembly to the rear. Replace the bulbs. Jack
You can access the headlight connector from the back of the headlight, in the engine compartment. Remove the headlight connector. Take hold of the light bulb, push in and turn at the same time. Reverse the process to install the new headlight light bulb.
I have an 89' Reatta but it should be the same. You need to remove the entire back lighting panel--although it's much easier then it sounds. Open the trunk and look behind the carpet. You should find a bunch of plastic nuts that hold the lighting panel in place. Don't forget the two way on the outside corners. Then pull the light panel away from the car. It has retaining wires so it won't fall on you. Changing the lights is then an easy twist of the bulbs. Don't forget that there are 3 turn bulbs on each side.
You don't say what year your Sunfire is, but I can give you a generic answer. There might be a little confusion here (at least I'm confused!) as to whether you want to change a burned out bulb, or if you want to replace the entire tail light assembly.
In either case, look inside the trunk. You'll have to pull the carpet out of the way to get at the rear of the tail lights. The bulb change is basic. Twist out the lamp holder, replace the bulb and twist the holder back in place. Easy Peasy.
If you want to change out the entire tail light, I suspect that the answer will be obvious once you have the carpet out of the way. My Haynes manual doesn't seem to address this.

If the signal light fuse is blown all the signal lights front and rear would not work. If you have one signal light out I would first suspect a bad bulb or bad connection.
This is not too difficult. I have three 1990 Reattas so have done this a couple of times. Look in the Owners Manual to get the correct bulb, the dealer may or may not have it but auto supply places such as Auto Zone do, it cost about $10, it is not just a bulb, it is a small module with the bulb in it. Repalcing this bulb is almost like changing the oil. You'll have to crawl under the front bumper and remove 2 screws from the 3-inch splash guard so you can get the splash guard out of the way, you do not have to remove the entire splash guard. Then just reach up to the turn-signal bulb module and pull it out, it may take a little wiggling to get it out if it has been there for a number of years. Then put in the new module. Once you buy the replacement module and look at it, it becomes obvious what to do and which of the many lights is the turn-signal. The smaller the fingers, the easier it is to do as it is a tight fit. If you have a big hand with larger fingers, it may be more difficult. It took me 30+ minutes the first time I did it as I had to figure out what to do, but the last time ( 6 months ago) it took about 10 minutes.
In 1990. New Zealand was one of the later countries to ban it in schools
have you try the fuse box? check for voltage on the wires going to the socket if not simply trace back your wires until you find the open source. it could also be the headlights switch.

Under the hood, at the front of a 1990 Buick Reatta, the horn is located on the driver's side, behind the fog light and mounted to the frame. If you lay down at the front of the car and look up under the fog light, you will see the horn.
In the Reatta it is located under the dash next to the steering collum. Silver box has "central power supply" printed on it.
Put a socket and ratchet on the tensioner belt pulley. Pull to the side, releasing the belt tension. Remove the belt and put the new one on, a helper will make this easier. Take the ratchet off to re-tension the belt.
I have found the easiest way to replace the sidemarker lights is actually from underneath the vehicle. I you can get the bulb out from underneath, with a squeeze and a twist, the bulb can be replaced without removing the whole assembly.
