Make sure you have a house/apartment where your family can live. You need to have the basics: furniture, electricity, water, heat. If you don't already have a job, get one and also look into where your children would go after school if you're working. If you have substance abuse problems, get help NOW! It will look good that you've sought out help for yourself. If CPS has given you anything to do,(parenting classes, random drug testing) do it.
