You can get it on both, the wii and NDS versions. Below are how:
Wii- Take a giraffe with level 2 strength and level 1 charm. Go to Long Neck Plateau. (Where the giraffes are.) Go up to an Acacia tree and use the giraffe's talent, Collect. Do this for each Acacia tree and only Acacia trees! The steak doesn't actually 'fall' out of the tree. It kinda sneaks into your inventory. After shaking about 20 or so Acacia trees.
NDS- Catch all fish. There will be fireworks and the game will give you a Steak Tree.
