How do you get the 7 gym badge in Pokemon platinum?

after getting your badge from canalave city,go to lake valor after meeting with dawn or lucas,your rival, and prof. rowan and beat commander saturn,then go to lake veriety and battle mars.Then the galactic grunts will be gone.P.S.It takes alot longer to get to snowpoint city than any other city you've traveled to before

Here are the steps for getting to get in the 7th gym:

Step 1. Defeat/catch the shiny Gyrados at Lake Rage

Step 2. After you done that, a guy with his Dragonite would stand right by the lake. Talk to

him and say yes

Step 3. Go back to Magony City and go to the building with the weird thing on top of the

tree. Go in their and the guy will find a secret path way. Follow him.

Step 4. Defeat all the Team Rocket Guys

Step 5. Defeat/catch all the Voltorbs

Then you should be free to go to the gym. And yes I have defeated the gym leader. I need to defeat the Elite 4 now.
You should level up ur pokemon. I have a Typhlosion LV. 74, Golem LV. 69, Onix LV. 70, and a Pigeot LV.71. That did beat the 7th gym leader. I stend ndless hours going to the Tall grass in the route near the 7th gym. Hope it helped. get ur Starter to at-least 50.
