All you'll need is paper (newspaper is good), flour and water, a balloon, and paint.
Firstly, decide what you'd like to make. But I think the Death Star would be easy, so look for some photo's on the internet.
Then blow the balloon up, this will be the size of your Death Star, so don't make it too small. Tie a string to the end and hang it up somewhere, and lay newspaper out below it.
Now make a Mache glue, mix some flour with a little bit of water (not too much! start with a little bit and add some more if you need it), you need a runny consistency.
Tear up the paper, and dip it in the glue; then start covering the balloon. Just cover it for now and don't make the layer too thick, you can add another layer when it has dried. Three layers should do.
When the last layer has dried, cut a hole in the end with the string, if the balloon has not deflated; pop it and remove the remains.
Now paint it like your picture, then fill it with wrapped lollies and confetti.
Put some holes in the sides of the opening, thread some string through and hang it up.
Finished!
I hope it helps.
