Yes they are. They all play DVDs and Blu-Ray discs.Yes they do. They need to be connected to the HDTV with 1080P and a HDMI cable for the Bluray to work as a Blue ray disc player
It does not Play and it does not damage the game or the computer if it is not scratched while you are doing it. Computers can not Play PS3 games and many computers do not even have BluRay disc drives to read the discs that most PS3 games come on
You cannot play PS3 games on on Linux. Even if you had a blu-ray drive on your Linux computer you would not have the proper system to play. If you want to play PS3 games you will have to play them on a PS3.
The current versions of the PS3 will play converted (downloaded from the PS Store) PSone and PS2 games. Older, original PS3's (first release) support both PS2 and PS3 disk games. The PS3 will not play PC, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox 360 games.
No you will not be able to play the games either way. Systems changes on the PS4 allow them more design capability for games and many titles will be released in a downgraded PS3 version. You still will have to have a PS4 to play PS4 games and a PS3 to play PS3 games.

They run on BluRay discs.
First most PS3s do not play PS2 games but the ones that did were designed to play many PS2 game titles and a PS2 was not designed to play any PS3 games. They are very different consoles and the PS3 is much more technologically capable than a PS2. The PS3 also has a Bluray disc drive that can play Bluray Discs, DVDs, and Cds and the PS2 has a DVD Discs drive that can play DVDs and CDs but not Bluray Discs. The PS2 does not have the computer power needed to run the PS3 software and when titles are released for both consoles the game has to be downgraded to run in the PS2 just like they do for the portable game players releases that are also released in Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Even the Nintendo Wii can not run the software of the PS3 and Xbox 360 games and there games are also downgraded. Older PC model and Laptop owners might find that they do not meet the minimum requirements to run the new PC games that have software programs like the PS3 and Xbox 360 games and the same is true for the PS2. It just does not meet the minimum requirements needed to play PS3 games and is well past time for a system update to the PS3.
Yes. All PS3 games are blu-ray.
No it is a PS3 and the PS3 games can not play on a PS2. Only one of the reason is that the PS2 can not read Bluray discs. Another is that it does not have the hardware for the game to work. There is a reason the PS3 costs more than a PS2 even now almost 5 years after it's release and the PS2 will never play PS3 games
A DVD player cannot play a BluRay disc. A BluRay player can play both BluRay discs and DVDs.
PS3 games are manufactured on BluRay discs. Piracy is illegal. Get a job.
No they do not have BluRay capability on Xbox or Xbox 360! That's why you should get the ps3, because the ps3 does!
