Insignificant. The peak of Mt. Everest is not quite 9 km above sea level, but the land is already well over 4 km above sea level before Everest really "starts", so the actual "mountain" part is only about 4 km above its "base".

The radius of the Earth is just about 6000 km, so Everest is, even taking the ridiculously generous 9 km figure, about 0.0015 as "tall" as Earth is from its core to its surface (and a more reasonable valuation would make it about 0.0007).

If an orange were expanded to the size of the Earth, the small bumps on its skin would put Everest to shame.
