John Dee is believed to be the original 007. Dee was the a spy, magician, mathematician, and astronomer for Queen Elizabeth I. While spying for Queen Elizabeth I, he would sent his messages encoded with a pair of eyes (looked like two zero's or O's) and a slash (look liked a 7). Hope this helps.
