To cut to the heart of the matter.....you are an employee at will...that is the employers will.
Barring something like a union agreement, they can pretty much do whatever they want in their procedures....and that includes firing you...for any, or no reason.
They can suspend you for however long they want, or you accept. You don't have a right to work for them, or for them to let you work.
If your not being treated the same as others in a similar situation, that can be a different story. And most employers have at least a process to inform you of and justify their actions, or even let you protest them.
Your options are always to find a better employer.
