Usually run time of picture or if double feature run time both plus about 15-20 mins for previews. Avge movie about 1 hr 20 mins, but if its something like aliens or titanic or a double feature you could be in there a really long time and in a walk in your rear end starts to hurt after a couple hrs

∙ 14y agoIf they are part of a popular franchise, such as Harry Potter, or if they have famous celebrities in the lead roles. Also, if they are immensely long ( such as the sixteen hour "Berlin Alexanderplatz ), they could be shown over consecutive nights. The longest feature film in cinema history was "Die Zweite Heimat", released in 1992, which clocks in at a phenomenal 26 hours and was critically acclaimed. So that is how long films can have great cinematic appeal.
