Demos are different and contain data depending on the game. Not only is everyone's internet connection is not the same but download speeds vary with the network traffic and distance from the site. It does not matter if it is a Demo Game, add on, or Full game as far as the download time goes. However if you choose to download in the background some things that you do will delay the download until you are done. I was downloading and watching a DVD and the PS3 did not download anything while I was watching the DVD. I was also able to download an early Call of Duty Game and the three World at War Map Packs in about 5 Minutes each. The same was true about the 2 Map Packs for Modern Warfare 2 and the single COD 4 Modern Warfare Map Pack. Everything together took less than Half an Hour even though I was installing as I was downloading.
Some are small files and are very quick with my connections. Your download speed and the file size will help to determine the download time.
If you have a playstation network card, you can download anything from the playstation store, as long as you don't exceed the money limit on the card.
As long as the game is on the playstation store. If you cant find it on on your ps vita's playstation store than look for it on your ps3's playstation store, then you can transfer it to your vita via the applications folder in content manager.
The games that you purchase do not cost anything extra to download them and the demos are free to download. PlayStation Plus customers also have some free games for as long as you are a member of PlayStation Plus
If you have accidently deleted a game you have purchased from PLAYSTATION online you can simply go back to store and check out your recent purchases/downloads and you can redownload it as long as its been purchased
On the older model PS3 with 4 USB ports most PS2 games can be played, but not on PS3 consoles that have only 2 USB ports. The 80GB model that went to Korea in Jul 2007 would probably have 4 USB ports and Models sent in late 2008 and 2009 would probably have 2 USB ports.
First you have to sign up in the playstation network (create account). Then you have to go to the playstation store. Then go to where it says demo then download any demo you want but it takes a long time.

just downloaded it from the PLAYSTATION STORE on PS3 but i'll warn you that it takes 12GB so it takes a long time to download.
I got it free because I have Playstation Plus and so can other Playstation Plus members. The free only lasts as long as you remain a member of Playstation Plus and the game is one of many currently free. If you are not a member of PS+ it is not free

It comes out the 6th of June 2011 you can get it for free from the playstation store as a gift for being offline for so long. It comes out June 10 2011 and cost $15 at the PlayStation Store
You log on to the PlayStation Store and then you go to the Welcome back and click that After you click free game one and then pick your game you go to free game two and pick that. Sometimes it does not show both games, but it should still be up where they say my downloads where the search is at the top of the page. I had to go there to find Dead Nation, since I already owned Infamous and LittleBigPlanet i chose that and Wipeout HD. I also had to make sure my console would not shut off on it's own. Maybe just for my peace of mind and changed the auto shutoff to 5 hours. The download process can be monitored by leaving the PlayStation Store and once the download has been completed you go to games and click on them because you are not done yet. They will need updates and the updates do not let you do other things while they download in the background. Don't forget to join the PlayStation Plus network,You sign up for that after the same welcome back screen as the games. It expires 30 days after you join and there are free games there to download also, but remain yours to play only as long as you are a PlayStation plus member. There are PSP free downloads that I was not able to get, Maybe because I had never signed in a PSP
