Star Trek: The Original Series was only on for three seasons before it was canceled. It aired in1966 and was stopped on June 3, 1969.
No. Star Wars came after Star Trek. Star Trek debuted on television in 1969. The first Star Wars film wasn't released until 1977, although the Star Trek film series didn't begin until 1979.
I reckon it would be a cool idea for a new series if starfleet commissioned a top secret team whose remit was to travel in time between different eras in order to gain advantages for the federation and or sort things out that's a mess in the timeline or prevent bad disasters from happening, wether natural or caused by wars between races etc. It would continue the long theme of time travel star trek has had in the series and indeed in the recent film with the creation of the alternate timeline. A series like this could have so much scope. There ship wouldn't have to be a big ship but more comparable to a large shuttlecraft, the team being undercover and behind the scenes sort of thing. Bascially this would allow for a star trek series, based, not only on the key theme of exploration (in this case they are exploring the timelines as opposed to anything new), but on action and covert espionage, SAS and delta force, star fleet style. This would also mean every episode could be set in a different era, from TOS all the way to deep space nine, to perhaps a point in time beyond what has been covered by the current tv series. If ure a star trek fan to a great or less degree and like this idea, discuss!
The ratings were poor and the writers took too long to get to showing the first Klingon-Federation war. Many viewers were eagerly awaiting to see how the first war would take place. Instead all we got was the Zindi crap.
On the original series, starring William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, it was five years. Here is the text of the opening voice over by Shatner: "Space... the Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before." 5 years Unless you mean the Enterprise series. In that case, 10 years.
The star trek symbol is a star, with one point at the top and two points on the bottom that form an arch. For examples of it check out this link http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Starfleet_emblem it is the energy out put curve of a warp drive, the top line is how much energy it takes to reach warp speed and the bottom line is how much energy it takes to maintian that speed In actual fact, the Star Trek Symbol is a styalised arc of an orbital path. Gene took it from NASA's logo, the white line orbiting the earth like a comet trail. Like looking at the rings of Saturn when a circle is seen from a distance at an angle it becomes an elipse, an oval. The Star Trek symbol is half of this shape styalised. This is supposed to be one of the elements kept & evolved from Nasa to the future of Starfleet, just as the UFP has elements of the UN.
If you are talking about the Star Trek enterprise E from movies such as Nemesis, Insurrection and First Contact, it is, and I quote from the movie Star Trek First Contact Picard: "There are 24 decks, almost 700 metres long"
The 2009 Movie Star Trek is 126 minutes long.

The ride to the top of the pass was an exhausting trek, but the cyclists managed it with style. I like to watch Star Trek. It was a long trek up the mountain. I am exhausted from the long trek. It was a long trek to the campsite. I knew I was in for a real trek when I heard, "twenty miles." I am a fan of Star Trek.
Yes, there is a long list of Star Trek Voyager books. Search "List of Star Trek Novels" for a complete list.
In the long running hit sci-fi series "Star Trek", the significance of the year 2233 is the year in which a Romulan travels back into time. The Romulan travels back in time to the date 2233.
There are a lot of them and most never had their lengths mentioned in the tv series but, the first Enterprise in the original series was said to be the length of a football field, and the Enterprise D in the next generation was about 2 football fields in length.
Live long and prosper.
