The first day of summer in Australia is the 1st of December. The summer months are December, January and February, as they are for the rest of the Southern Hemisphere.

Warmer weather can start as early as mid October, and can continue to April depending which part of the country you are in, and the weather patterns.

The northern part of Australia is tropical and as such does not have the usual summer season. It has a 'wet season" and a "dry season".
