When the Titanic made its maiden voyage on April 14, 1912, it was carrying a total of 2,223 people which included both passengers and crew. There were 31 poeple who survived even though there was room for 52 on the lifeboats.
2,223 people were on the ship and 1,517 of them died. 706 survived. I can't imagine if I was 1 of those 1,517 people who died if I were that people I'll just accept that I can't survived in that ship by just relaxing & sleeping in the 1st class bed :D

If the question is about Greti Skala who survived the Holocaust, then no. She survived, but she had caught typhus and died at age nine after being liberated from Bergan-Belsen. =[

As long as you are out of the direct blast, and the building damage ensuing, you may well survive. Many folk from Hiroshima and Nagasaki did so, and just recently, an individual died, who survived BOTH bombs.
He died of melanoma skin cancer in May 1974 at the age of 49. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
