Before that, he is NOT dead, though he's injured, you would think seriously, many times. IN part six, he's brought back to life, and there through Freddy vs Jason. Have not seen "Cold Heart of Crystal Lake", so no idea about that one.

All while the camp counselors weren't paying attention. Since then Jason has come back many, many... many times. And gets "killed" over and over.
Why does Jason hate Freddy?
Because when he drowned, his mother held the counslers personally responsible for not watching him. When she is killed after seeking revenge, he returns to go on a killing spree. He continues to kill for different opinions from people.

There is no "real" story of Jason Voorhees, since he is a fictional character. He does not exist, and has never existed, except in people's imagination. The FICTIONAL story of Jason Voorhees is as follows: Jason was an ugly looking child who was born on Friday the 13th. His mother was a cook at Camp Crystal Lake. Jason was teased by other children at the camp and pushed into the lake where he drowned. His mother went nuts and started killing people every Friday the 13th at the camp, but she was killed by a young girl in self-defence. Jason the young boy who rose from the dead saw his mother being killed by the girl. And then Jason lived in the woods, eating animals. He killed a girl for the first time one Friday the 13th. Since Jason was bullied as a child, the only person he trusted was his mother. So after she was killed, Jason lived alone in the woods, killing anyone he didn't trust.

Why didn't Jason voorhees kill kids?
Jason didn't kill kids because he don't blame them for what happened to him and his mother. His mother didn't kill kids only adults and now Jason follows her footsteps killing adults that come into the area. An Adult killed his mother and he saw it and vowed revenge on every adult he came across. He would never kill a child. IN Part 9 Jason only goes after the Stephen and Jessica and didn't want to harm the baby.

Michael Myres should be more popular than Jason Voorhees since Jason is just a blatant rip off of Myers, and while the good Halloween movies rely on atmosphere, suspense and quality filmaking, every Friday movie relies on gore and naked teenagers, unfortunately most people ive come across prefer the Friday movies for some reason

It may be because of his physical deformities (to do with the tongue, mouth or vocal chords) or because he was never taught properly. He never went to school because his mother didn't allow him to, so he was never taught to talk.
What is the movie Friday the 13th about?
This is basically about a deformed boy (Jason Voorhees) at a camp who drowned in the lake when the councellors weren't watching. Years later when new councellors come to the camp the mother of the boy (Pamela Voorhees) seeks revenge on the councellors and kills all but one of them.The mother's the killer for the first movie, but the rest of the sequels has Jason as the killer. If you want to know what happens to his mother then I won't spoil it for you, I recommend the movie if you're interested in slasher movies, one of the classics I think, even if it is a little dated.Wow.......EPIC EPIC EPIC .
