David won Michal's hand in marriage when he fulfilled King Saul's challenge to kill 100 Philistines all by himself. Michal was King Saul's daughter. King Saul hated David because he was jealous of him and was hoping that David would be killed trying to fulfill the King's request. David killed twice the number of Philistines required of the King and so Michal was given to David to be his wife. Ref: (I Samuel 18:26-30).
King David had 8 wives: Michal-the second daughter of King Saul,Ahinoam the Jezreelite,Abigail the Carmelite-previously wife of Nabal,Maachah-daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur,Haggith,Abital,Eglah,Bathsheba-previously the wife of Uriah the Hittite, and Abishag.
David's wife Michal was not impressed at his exuberant dancing: 2 Samuel 6 16And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.... 20Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! 21And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
How many year for king david between shepherd and king?
He didn't! Her father, Saul, gave her to another man, Paltiel, after she helped David to flee his jealous rage. David became a brigand, and neither returned nor tried to get Michal back - from his point of view it had been a political marriage (though the Bible records that she loved him passionately), and he regarded her as an encumbrance. For a number of years she lived with Paltiel as her husband, and it appears that they were happy - the Bible records that he followed her on foot, crying, when David sent Abner and a force of soldiers to get her back. This may be where you have got the idea that he gave her to Abner. Again it was a political move - Saul was dead, and having the daughter of the late King as part of his harem strengthened David's claim to the throne. Poor Michal was kept for her political value - the Bible records that she had no children to the day she died, suggesting that David never bothered with her, saving his affections for his other seven wives and numerous concubines.

Jonathan and Michal.

David had 8 wives but the best are Michal and Bathsheba.
Michal, Achinom, Abigail, Maacha, Chagit, Avital, Egla.
It was Michal, Saul's daughter.
David's first wife was named Michal - the daughter of King Saul. This can be found in 1 Samuel 18:26 in the Old Testament.
Technically yes. Saul was trying to marry one of his daughters to David so he could somehow have an advantage over him and somehow that would make the Philistines kill him... (there is no clear reason). David turned down Saul's first daughter, Merab, after he tried to arrange a marriage for them. Saul then figured out that Michal was in LOVE with David, and again tried to have them married. David turned him down again, but Saul wasn't going to give up so easily. He was still trying to get David killed by the Philistines, so he said that David could marry Michal if he could get the foreskins (please don't ask what that is) of a hundred Philistines. So David was finally satisfied with this (an issue with pride and humbleness) and did just that. Only he killed 200 Philistines and brought back 200 foreskins to Saul (yummy). Then David and Michal were married. It said David married Michal to become the king's (Saul's) son-in-law, but it also mentions how much Michal loved David. 1 Samuel 18:27-28 David and his men went out and killed two hundred Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented the full number to the king so that he might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage. When Saul realized that the LORD was with David and that his daughter Michal loved David," So yeah it was prearranged. Though I feel as though Michal may have asked to marry David after he turned down Merab.
Paltiel's wife was Saul's daughter, Michal...atleast for a short time.Paltiel (Palti) was the son of Laish from Gallim. When King Saul wanted to hurt David, he took his daughter, Michal, who was already David's wife, and gave her in marriage to Palti (Paltiel). (1Samel 25:44) When David became king, he spoke to Saul's son Ish-bosheth, and demanded Michal be returned to him, which she was. (2Samuel 3:12-16).
Michal is mentioned for the first time I Samuel 18:20. David marries her in I Samuel 18:26.
