Nobody really knows how old he is. The author of Naruto never stated, and it never says in the series. However, most fans believe that he was in his twenties when he died. In Naruto Shippuden he would probably be in his thirties.

According to my rough Calculation he was 20 when Naruto was born

Actually, Minato was 22 years old when Naruto was born. According to the timeline of Jiraiya on the website: http://www.leafninja.com, Jiraiya was 25.5 years old when he took Minato who was 10 years old at the time as his apprentice. 12 years later, Jiraiya was 37.5 years old when Kushina was pregnant with Naruto. Kushina was also 22 years old when Naruto was born because she was 6 years old and so was Minato when they went to the academy together. This makes Minato 5 months and 15 days older than Kushina, because his birthday is January 25th and Kushina's birthday is July 10th.

43 because if jiraiya was minato's sensei 16 years differnet and the 3rd was 16 years different also and minato was 13 years older than kakashi and kakashi was 16 years older than naruto. then minato would be 43 years old
