How old is Obi-Wan?

He is supposed to be 52 but he looks older to me.

I think the reply above mine is refering to Episode 4, but the first one that was made.. BTW, I agree he seems & looks older than 52. But if he was 25 in 1, then he must be about 59 in 4.

The answer is a mystery. In Episode IV, Alec Guiness looked to be in his 70's. However in Episode I Ewan McGregor looked about 25. Episode II was 10 years later, which would make him 35. Episode III was 3 years later to make him 38. Luke and Leia were 18 in Episode IV...38 + 18 = not 70. So this means either the harsh Tatooine weather made Obi-Wan look a lot older than his actual age of 56, or George Lucas assumed nobody would notice. I think the latter is more likely.

Seeing that Obi-Wan was about 25 during 'The Phantom Menace' 's time period, and 'Attack of the Clones' was 11 years after 'The Phantom Menace', we can say that Obi-Wan was 36 during Attack of the Clones. Using this knowledge, he was about 36-38 during the Clone Wars.

He was born in 57 BBY (Before battle of Yavin ) and defeated Darth Maul in 32 BBY. He was granted knighthood not long after by Yoda, so that makes him around 25.
