There is a very accurate mathematical formula that can be used to calculate what your child's adult height will be. In most cases your child will be within + or - 1" of this calculation. The worst case scenario is that the height will be out by + or - 3".

For a boy...

(father's height in inches + mother's height in inches) ÷ 2 + 3 = boy's height in inches.

For a girl...

(father's height in inches + mother's height in inches) ÷ 2 - 3 = girl's height in inches.

This calculation has been very accurate with most of the people that I know. I grew up to be a quarter inch taller than my calculated height.
