If a PS2 game has scratches all over it and it doesn't work how can you get it to work?

replacing them, they are not that fixable, you only want them to be able to be fixed. Even if someone tries to polish the discs there is no guaranteeing that they will ever be trouble free and not still be a pain when your game stops working
