it is possible if your Pokemon are strong enough though i would recommend using potions and revives it's alot easier!

Well, I beat Cynthia for the first time with Steelix, Froslass, Torterra, Mamoswine, Tentacruel, and Giratina, but I don't think the Pokemon you use really matter. I would just recommend trying to get all of your Pokemon up to about Level 60. Once you beat her once, though, you can access different and higher level Pokemon. Now I beat her with Torterra, Mamoswine, Pelipper, Wailord, Yanmega, and Gallade every time. =) Also, I usually buy 40 Hyper Potions, 30 Revives, 5 Full Restores, 5 Max Potions, and 20 Full Heals before I challenge the Elite Four. Don't be hesitant to use Potions and Revives between battles. Hope this helped!

I say that the best way to beat the elite four is knowing your enemy. I know it sounds wierd but if you know what you're up against than you know what you have to do to get better. First, you should train your Pokemon to level 55 or more. I say have at least 2 Pokemon in the 60 level range and at least 2 more Pokemon in between the 55 and 60 range. You need to do this because the champion in the elite four has Pokemon in the 60 range. You also need to get a lot of hp and status healers like max elither and full restores and revives and max revives and etc. I say that you need a strong water type, a strong fire type, a strong air type, a strong ground type, giratina if possible, and a strong Pokemon to back you up for best results against the elite four in Pokemon platinum.

Those Pokemon are a strong team, covering most, if not all, weaknesses (depending on their moves). If they are all at roughly level 45 and you have enough potions, revives etc you should be fine.

You don't need to buy anything unless you are trying to keep all pokemon alive. In that case you might want some max revives and hyper potions.
