Latin America is the region of the Americas (the American Continent) where romance language (Spanish, Portuguese and French) are spoken. It includes countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. This is every country in the Americas except for the United States, Canada, Guyana and Suriname.

It does not include countries like Spain, Italy or Portugal where romance languages are spoken, but are not in the Americas.
