Essentially they are both the same headset with a couple of differences. The PX5 is more suited to PS3 for the bluetooth wireless PSN chat. For Sxbox users you will need to buy an additional adapter for the wireless chat feature. Then Turtle Beach released the XP500 with the Xbox 360 gamers in mind which includes the wireless network adapted for the Xbox gamers. The PX5 is red trimmed while the XP500 is green trimmed.
