It had a great cast and it was very well written, but it was heartbroken to many fans as they never got to see the Man of Steel actually fight anyone onscreen. It also made the mistake of using Lex Luthor as the only villain and just had him do an evil plot of trying to tamper with the structure of the land. People do not want to see a sequel in the form of a remake- they want to see a live-action adaptation of what they have read in the comic books or seen on past animated shows.
