Tommy Montenaro started his acting/modeling at the young age of 18 in Fort Lauderdale, FL for Talent Services Inc. Schooling himself in camera technique and print work under Irene Claire's professional eye until the agency unfortunately closed its doors. Tommy then worked for Sheila Rose Talent Management Agency which was located in Plantation, FL. Tommy's first job was to showcase the newly built town of Weston, FL. Tommy was at the ribbon cutting ceremonies and appeared on their brochures to open the new town on Arvida Parkway, which at the time was brick layered and tree lined with wood holding up the newly planted palms. Now Weston is a beautiful city with tree lined streets and thousands of businesses and of course, homes.

Tommy's first exposure to movies was his appearance in Revenge of the Nerds (filmed in Fort Lauderdale, FL). He was an extra for two months until a PA on the set asked his height & weight and decided Tommy was the perfect fit to be a stand in for one of the main characters, named Winston.

Tommy appeared on the TV show Miami Vice twice. One particular episode, Tommy had a principle part on the episode which Don Johnson's character Sonny married Sheena Easton. As the couple were exiting their limosine, Tommy was playing the press trying to get an interview.

Tommy also had a principle part in the film Karate Warriors II, which was also filmed in Weston and Coconut Grove and Miami. Tommy played the part of (one of) the main character's friends. Production costs forced this particular film to be shelved, and then finally released to certain theaters in parts of Europe. Tommy also was featured in the movies The Opponent and It Had To Be You the following year as an extra.

In the late 1990s the cable USA channel featured Tommy in the very last episode of Sins of the City as an extra. No further information at this time.
