No! You can use a fast ball by folloing her, saving when you by her location then catching her with a fast ball! It is possible, why? Because if you use one at the very start of battle it is a lot stronger than a ultra ball and it has almost the same amount of strength as a master ball, I did it with 75% of the legendaries!
