He is leaving one tree hill but there has been no press release about why or if he was fired. there is a video of him telling fans that he got fired because the cw wanted to save money. So far nobody has confirmed this. Hilarie Burton did say that it was a joint decision between the cw and her for her leaving the show. Most likely chad Michael Murray and hilarie Burton will return as guest stars or maybe return to the show. If you want him to return then don't watch season seven, because then the ratings will drop and he will most likely be asked to come back.
