No it's not. The author behind the books Charlaine Harris, has not yet written the last two books. Alan Ball and the True Blood team does not consequently follow the storyline from the books. So it is possible that what might or might not happen between Sookie and hunk-vampire Eric in the books, will not be the same in the tv-series.

Why did Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse broke up?
In both the books and TV show, Bill and Sookie permantly broke up as of Book 3 'Club Dead' and as far as the show, I'm pretty sure if they still going by the book, that will be the same. But they broke up because Bill went back to his former lover and maker, and had sex, Bill had planned to pension Sookie off and stay with Lorena, and Sookie began to hate him for that. So they broke up. Personally, I think Eric and Sookie are just PERFECT for each other. Eric is just amazing. And like I said, if they make a True Blood season for every True Blood book, and stick by the book then in the end, Sookie and Eric will be married.

She does not end up with Bill, it actually turns out he was forced to go out with her but supposedly he fell in love in the process. He cheats on her with his maker and she doesn't really ever forgive him.... at least so far.Also, he's annoying, and a jerk, and superficial, and a liar, and thoroughly annoying!also, the author, Charlaine Harris has said that Sookie does not end up with a vampiremy moneys on Sam or QuinnSo far in book 9, Dead and Gone she 'married' Eric, he tricked her into it, kind of, but the were a couple and said that the King could have taken Sookie away from her home.I find it quite sad because i liked Sookie with Bill and I don't like Eric!!Hopefully Sharlaine Harris will change her mind, because the books are yet to be writteni want sookie with bill hes much better! Why does Alan Ball like Bill over Eric when the books are dedicated to Eric and Sookie?
The books BEGIN dedicated to Bill & Sookie, so it's only natural the series is also. By season 4 I'm sure it will be Eric & Sookie just as the books are :)
