JULIO RAMOS IS THE BEST !!!! and brenton lozoraitis is G ********************************** Movie Gallery just posted on their website that there are NO store closings planned. Funny, that, since there are 400 additional closings by January '09 confirmed and the stores involved have been or will be notified this week as to which ones they will be. No public list of the closings will be made. Hmmmm...If they lie about ONE thing.......
Yes. Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery are closing hundreds of locations nationwide and there is a very good chance that by the end of 2009 or in early 2010 they will go into complete liquidation.
They have fallen behind rent in most if not all locations by at least several months. This has been reported at http://www.videobusiness.com/article/CA6704474.HTML.
They have been doing overnight closes in those locations so the landlords cannot lock them out. I am a former manager of 10 years and was recently let go in one of these cases.
Just type Hollywood Video closing or Movie Gallery closing in a search link on Google or yahoo and you will find multiple examples of the above.
If you are a landlord - check your bank statements to see if you are getting paid. You may want to lock them out before they do a dine and dash. If you are a current employee - you may want to seek other employment pronto.
If you want to read or vent about this goto the link above - a very good chat has started there that I'm sure Sherif Matyas the CEO of Movie Gallery would be very upset about.
Finally - well all this closing is going on - he has been telling the employees that only the bottom 10% of the company will close - which is just not the truth. All the while he is living like a rock star - flying to New York City for the World Series! Im serious here. He also flew to the WORLD PREMIERE OF Twilight 2 - New Moon in LA. As employees are losing jobs left and right.
Sorry to vent but in the end the answer to this question is a definitive YES.
Yes, the Blockbuster in Newark, CA is now closed as are all Blockbuster stores.
There are many places where someone could purchase the movie Hallelujah Shrek. Stores such as Target, Kmart, Walmart, and Best Buys all would sell the movie Hallelujah Shrek.
He is credited both in the opening and closing credits of the film - he is one of the leads after all. However, IMDB (the international movie data base) lists him as 'uncredited' in relation to "Kama Sutra" - I can't tell you why.
DVDs of all sorts, movies and otherwise can be found both online and in stores locally. Book stores in particular have a wide range of DVDs when considering the offline approach.
If this is on Itunes, there is no tax. It would just be $15. If it's from Blockbuster, or other movie stores, then the tax would be 10 cents to each dollar. But that's all I know.

All of GameCrazy's locations have closed because of the parent company Movie Gallery's bankruptcy and liquidation.

All the Borders stores in Tampa have closed.
They most certainly are not closing all their stores. The gamecrazy in my Hollywood closed recently but i think it was from nearby competition. They may be downsizing Hollywood videos but they aren't going out of business.
As of April 4, 2012 Balck and Decker Outlets were notified that all stores are closing nationwide. Most stores have until the end of the month.
