because i watched the movie is it true
edit from an experienced : the movie isn't based on a true story, but the massage your getting from the movie is "sell your soul and you ill have the life you dreamed of" which means that you can give your soul or sell your soul to get a desired thing which is real, but in return your soul will serve "the devil" or "the entity" you sold your soul for after death, which makes you a slave after death, so the movie is kind of advertising this thing to be good and i personally asked many people about it, and i was surprised because after they watched the movie selling their soul wasn't considered a bad thing, and that's all they want to tell you from the movie, but it isn't based on a real story.

A family living in a Funeral Palor and the boy has cancer
The Haunting in Connecticut is (loosely) based on the purportedly true story of a family whose eldest son fell ill with cancer, causing them to move to a house in Connecticut that had at one point been a mortuary. There is a documentary by Discovery Channel called A Haunting in Connecticut that chronicles the story from the actual family's perspective.
The 2002 documentary "A Haunting in Connecticut" was produced by the Discovery Channel. It and the 2009 film "The Haunting in Connecticut" are loosely based on the story of the Snedeker family who witnessed unusual phenomena in their home in Connecticut, apparently because it was originally a mortuary. No. Not at all. This movie was taken from the book, In A Dark Place by Ray Garton. When I first contacted Ray, prior to the release of this movie, he was giving interviews explaining that it was a concocted story, that it was in no way true. This and other movies like it are nothing more that money making machines.
