Consider t resistors with same Ohmic values. If they are in series total resistance Rt = R1 + R2. if they are in parallel then total resistance Rt = 1/R1 + 1/R2. Series connection will have higher resistance.

What is the difference between Serial and Parallel Adder?

Some key differences between a Serial and Parallel Adder are that a Serial Adder is slower, a Parallel adder is a combinational circuit and the time required for addition depends on the number of bits in a Serial, but not a Parallel. A Serial Adder is a sequential circuit while a Parallel is a combinational circuit.

What of the circuit can be used as parallel to serial converter?

multiplexer can be used as parallel to serial converter.

A circuit with 4 parallel parts but only one serial part would be called a what kind of circuit?

parallel circuit

A circuit with 4 parallel parts but only one serial part would be called what?

A series/parallel circuit.

Would you use Series or parallel circuit for Christmas lights?

Yes you would use a serial circuit You would use parallel circuit lights for a Christmas tree because if you used series circuit lights, and one of the bulb blows, the rest of the bulbs will go out. But with parallel circuit lights, if one bulb blows the rest of the bulbs will remain their brightness.

Depends, is the device serial or parallel?

Depends, is the device serial or parallel?

Which is quicker serial or parallel?

parallel

What THE best serial or parallel ports?

Usually serial. Parallel is almost completely gone, and serial is getting replaced by USB.

Is the telegraph a serial or parallel device?

Serial

What kind of circuits have two or more wires running next to each other?

You can't characterize a circuit type in this way. In a digital circuit a ribbon cable with parallel wires usually indicates a parallel connection as opposed to a serial connection or interface.

Why is a serial circuit called a serial circuit?

Because the loads are accessed in series.

What is serial to parallel converter?

A "serial to parallel" converter converts a serial data connection to a parallel data connection. For example, in computer storage, there are controller chipsets that convert SATA (Serial ATA) to PATA (Parallel ATA, also called IDE or EIDE).
