Ryan Reynolds himself has confirmed that the movie he did back in 2011 will not have a sequel- but another actor will take over the role which will possibly happen in the Justice League film planned for release in the future.

∙ 10y agoNever- Ryan Reynolds said he is now done playing the role. It was decided the movie he did would not continue with sequels due to its unsuccessful hit. The character is going to be recast and possibly not appear again until the Justice League film.

∙ 10y agoRyan Reynolds has announced that the sequel has been cancelled and that means he will not be coming back to continue the series. There will be a new Green Lantern with a different actor playing the role. He will possibly be introduced in the Justice League film.
There will not be another one with Ryan Reynolds returning- he is being recast and the character will possibly be introduced in the Justice League movie.
The original film was a failure- so the planned sequel has been scrapped. Ryan Reynolds is never playing the character again and will be recast. The next Green Lantern will possibly appear in the Justice League film.
