Art. 63.001. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:
(1) "Child" means a person under 18 years of age.
(2) "Missing[0] person[0]" means a person[0] 18 years old or older
whose disappearance is possibly not voluntary.
(3) "Missing[0] child" means a child whose whereabouts are
unknown to the child's legal custodian, the circumstances of whose
absence indicate that:
(A) the child did not voluntarily leave the care and control
of the custodian, and the taking of the child was not authorized by
law;
(B) the child voluntarily left the care and control of his
legal custodian without the custodian's consent and without intent
to return; or
THIS IS FROM THE CURRENT STATUES AND LAWS IN THE STATE OF Texas A PARENT REFER TO (B) § 25.06. HARBORING RUNAWAY[0] CHILD. (a) A person commits
an offense if he knowingly harbors a child and he is criminally
negligent about whether the child:
(1) is younger than 18 years; and
(2) has escaped from the custody of a peace officer, a
probation officer, the Texas Youth Council, or a detention facility
for children, or is voluntarily absent from the child's home
without the consent of the child's parent or guardian for a
substantial length of time or without the intent to return.
THERE IS A LOT MORE, BUT IN THE STATE OF TEXAS IF YOUR PARENTS SAY NO THEY DO HAVE LEGAL RECOURSE. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER LAWS INCLUDING THE REQUIREMENT OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TO OBTAIN AND TRANSPORT A KNOWN MISSING PERSON UNDER 18 BACK TO THE HANDS OF THE PARENTS. MANY OFFICERS ARE NOT CLEAR ON THE LAW. 17 IS NOT ALWAYS A MAGIC NUMBER AS MANY MISTAKINGLY BELIEVE.
I think that a teenager with 17 years of age should leave his/her home when they are legally married, because i think that the home of his/her parents is a home of safety and because there are rules that should be completed. And because his/her parents are going to be the best friends they are ever going to have. And the parents will also want everything good for their daughter/son.

Some states have set a minimum age for which children can be left at home alone. Texas has not set a minimum age for leaving children at home, but it is best to consider the maturity and responsibility levels of an individual child before leaving them at home overnight.
Yes, I believe this is the case across the U.S., except possibly Texas. Apparently in Texas the police will not force 17-year-olds to return to their parents. Another option is to get legally emancipated by a court.
its ok in England so i cant see why not, as long as there capable of looking after themselves Well, you have to ask yourself is he/she responsible? if the answer is no then definantly not! but since you even questioned leaving, you must trust him/her.It also depends on how many days.I hope I helped!
The age at which a child can be left at home alone is only legislated in two states, Maryland and Illinois. The legal check is whether or not the child is safe and has the ability to take care of themselves. Most authorities agree that leaving a 12 year old alone at home for an hour or two is acceptable, but they should not be responsible for other children.
She's Leaving Home was created on 1967-03-17.
Until you are an adult, Texas law says the parents are responsible for the minor and where they live. Seventeen is not the same age as eighteen.
No, you have to be 18.

In most states in the US, the legal age of emancipation is 18. However, some states allow minors to leave home with parental consent or under certain circumstances like being in danger at home. It is advisable to check the specific laws in your state or seek legal advice.

In Texas, a 17-year-old is still considered a minor and generally cannot leave home without the permission of a parent or legal guardian. If a 17-year-old leaves home without permission, their parents or legal guardian could involve law enforcement to have the minor returned home. It is important to communicate openly with parents or guardians and seek support if there are issues at home.
I don't know about other states, but in Texas, you are considered an adult at 17. A 17 year old does not have to go back home. no
No he cannot. If you are not emancipated, your parents have custody of you.
Yes, so don't even think about leaving home.
