The Liberal Party of Canada has 34 out of 308 MPs representing the House of Commons in Ottawa. It suffered several falls since 2000. It used to form a majority government, then a minority government, then the official opposition, it now holds a third-party status. The members of parliament are mostly representing the Atlantic part of Canada and the city of Toronto, but they have a fragmentary presence in almost every province.
