The province of Newfoundland and Labrador (formerly just "Newfoundland") is Canada's 10th province. The Isle of Newfoundland is the easternmost part of Canada. Except for Greenland, which is now considered to be part of North America, Cape Spear (which is just south of the Capital City, St John's) is the easternmost point of land in North America.
