There were several new laws put in place in response to the Titanic disaster. All ships with more than fifty passengers were required to have enough lifeboats for all passengers, searchlights and binoculars, and to conduct regular emergency drills. A special radio channel was created specifically for ships (before Titanic it was a free-for-all), and 24-hour radio watches became mandatory. An international ice patrol was created to monitor and report the location of icebergs, and all ships were required to take a more southerly route through the North Atlantic.

Well titanic saved more people than you may think. Most ships fall over on one sied making most of the life boats useless but titanic used all here life boats and had more than the law at that time and she is only one of three ships on record that have sunk the way she did but

the only one that brok in half

So I don't know how maney exactly but it was less than 10

Hope this helps

Many lawsuits were filed. Claims against the White Star Line totaled $17M (over twice what it cost to build Titanic) but the total payout was $664k.

The highest claimant against the White Star Line of any other passenger was Charlotte Drake Cardeza (rescued on lifeboat 3) at $177,352.75.

Her claim contains the most pages of any. Cardeza filed a claim for the lost contents of her 14 trunks, 4 suitcases, and 3 crates of baggage (a total of at least 841 individual items).
