<>It"s a big category, characters in slapstick films make comedy out of what in real life would land one in jail or perhaps a mental hospital, maybe that"s where these writers belong. Okay they are offering entertainment not etiquette manuals but there are all kinds of thoughtless and crude actions in movies that are not always taken to be comedy. reactions towards strange people, that is commonplace. Cartoons often push the envelope or red-line the older term from the danger zone, on say, a speedometer. There are all sorts of impulsive and mindless actions on shows such as Dukes of Hazard which show the police, up to a point, in a negative light, and make comedy out of reckless driving and literal fender bending. of course The Three Stooges win in any sort of (Grossness) competition hands down, but that"s not tbe point. there is a good deal of inconsiderate and not merely thoughtless, but mindless action on much of juvenile entertainment! I"m glad you brought this up
