Yes she was and it was for the majority of season 3. If you remember season 3's episode "Denise gets a D" when Clair was in bed with a "pinched nerve" what they had done was cut a hole in the mattress and she fit into it. Other times in that season they hid her tummy by raising the kitchen counter, putting a GIANT teddy bear in front of her even when the grocery bags were blocking her one time. If you can find the blooper, which may be on the special "The Cosby Show a Look Back", where Theo and Cockroach had a test on Macbeth. The closing scene where Clair says "we could snuggle up under the covers and read Macbeth and it could take all night. And I'll be Lady Macbeth."
