My information is that the language police in Canada is a police force whose job is to enforce the law relating to the conpulsory use of the french language in public servises and not only in the province of Quebec Canada.

I would have expected one of the most modern democracies in the world , one of the most technologically advanced countries of the world , one of the most multicultural societies in the world, in short, one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful country in the world - and I am not a canadian, I am a greek australian teacher of english and in whose school french is also taught - not to have legislated such a ridiculus (ludicrus in american english) law whereby you can be fined for not speaking french in public servises for not drawing up contracts in french for not having signs in french.
